.....Mr. brick and myself would meet on Hollywood Boulevard, every morning......he would roll-in about 630am and we would face the day, solve problems, make decisions, try to keep afloat, pull a few dollars out of a company that was on the decline due to the economy, and plenty other extenuating circumstances.....we use to call it the "fire"......it was like standing in the fires of hell everyday....with all the characters coming at us, the situations that arose and all the rest of it....Brick was coming off a 5 or 6 year "sit down" after September 11th.....he was in New york and across the street from the trade center when it all happened......after that he left the city, moved to the country and had a sit down......a guy I was working with thought he manipulated Brick to come work with us in Hollywood....Brick and Family came......and we put in the hours....he explained how a "sit-down" every 7 years or a 7 year "sit-down" is key(claiming dyslexia hopefully it's the latter for me).....it's the key to spiritual growth, it's key to have a rest, and all the rest of it......I am almost into my 4th year on this sit-down, and it has been the best thing I've ever done......good for the soul....the head....and the body(minus the accidents) and not to mention it's been good for my surfing technique.....today's picture is of the Brooklyn Bridge in the summertime.....my friend Monica sent it awhile back......a long time new-yorker, who after sitting in the FIRE for awhile now thinks the simple life appeals would be for her.....I would not be surprised if she and Paul end up in south-east-asia somewhere, having a sit-down.......I sure hope so......as they would enjoy the peace.....especially after being in the fire.......
