.....there are a bunch of sayings, old wives tails and such......I remember when I was young, hearing all these sayings....since I grew up in America's finest city....North Hollywood.....most of the sayings did not apply to me, my friends or anything else I was familiar with....on my recent trip to Java I was in a few predicaments......one was rolling into a little village as it was getting dark, no hotels, or places to stay and 3-5 hours from a place to stay and the worst roads I have been on.....we were f-ed so to speak.....also my rack that is attached to my motor-bike had become un-attached, the metal broke from the shitty roads and heavy load.....we stopped at a warung(a small store), for a drink.....to make a long story short the store owner invited us to stay there with him, fed us, an we went on our way the next day.....another time on the same adventure, it had just got dark, we were 10 kilometers from out destination, on the worst road, and I mean 10-20 times worse then the other "worse" road, I mentioned....the rack was broken again,.....Kayul went to the nearest house to knock on the door and ask them to take us in forcing ourselves on the strangers.....at the same time she was doing that, some guys rode by asking me what I was doing parked on a dark road......to make another long story short they took us in fed us, and I decided that night I was going back to Bali, and not going to G-Land(my original destination)......even on the way back to Bali, in Bali I was helped by 2 more strangers......so the kindness of strangers is real....I understand it.....from my experience, in America strangers are usually out to rob you....I am going to post 3 pictures that were cut from the web-zine thingy with this explanation

"As editor and chief I wanted to show your range as a photographer. When viewers go to your link after looking at your issue...they are greeted by your surf photos and get to dive deeper into your world"

.....that little above quote means my friends and surf pictures were cut out of the KYUR8 web-zine article.....so here are 3 pictures that were cut.....
1. ....our very own Big Jim at Nyang Nyang beach, I love the local balinese fishing boat just above him.....
2. ....the second picture is of Gobleg, one of the Uluwatu locals who does well in all size surf and on the indonesian surf tour.I shot this picture of him at Uluwatu from a boogie board......
3. ....the third shot is of Tai Grahm at Padang Padang.....Tai is an aussie who is involved in the surf scene in Bali, he mc's the events and award shows and surfs real good.....he is posing here, for a photographer who is just out of frame.....
