           day 5

.....yesterday arvo, and this morning found the hook doing it's thing.......it's a strange spot......we hit it just before the afternoon shower, so the wind went offshore as we were walking up the beach......then it started pouring......as the squall passed over, the water surface looked like diamonds......there were no waves for 15 minutes....none......then a set, I got one, and proceeded to get caught on the inside for 10 minutes+.....duck-diving and paddling for the channel, but just being held in the impact zone......then it turned on......next thing it was 4' with bigger sets, fun, good shaped rights, kept rolling through......I had 20+ waves....I've done a lot of kook-dodging this trip as well......then this am it was the hook at dawn for 4'-5' fun......I ended up surfing for 4 hours and getting 20 waves.....I have been working on my pig-dog, as it is rusty.....after a short nap and a few teas, it was off to Tropicals, so Anna could ride a left......I managed to get 24 waves in the 3 hour process......it was fun......I have not surfed Troppies in years.....a few cunts in the water, so Anna got burned and others were taking waves that were hers.......anytime that any of them were in my way, I faded them into the white-water, or scared them by coming close to them etc.....I deal with cunts well......another 40+ wave day.........todays photo is of the hook......the hook sits up the end of the beautiful sekongkang bay........below................the always colorful nurse Robbie, tie-dyed up as if sponsored by the grateful dead.........below.............everything looks fine right???.....wrong.....this guy is seconds away from getting smashed by this mentawai gem.........below............fraternizing with the locals, as I do.........below..................the ferry from lombok to sumbawa, is slow, the ride is scenic, and this shot is from the bow, looking back......and finally a poster for a music show in downtown LA in the little tokyo district.......
