.....click play above for the song of the day....."some rocksteady"

trip 1 day 7.....with these other boats around, and, having raped, pillaged and plundered Bawa for all it was worth....we set off south for the Telos.....now the Telos are above the Mentawai's, so we are getting closer to our final destination of Padang Sumatra.....sunrise in the Telos looks a bit like this..............a couple of the boys went for a paddle, and I decided to take a break from photo sorting and do a bit of wrtiting.....I usually put myself on a writing regiment and recap everyday of whatever adventure I am on as well as do a blog post....not this time though......I will just do a daily post, add some photos in and call it done.....I will post all these stories once I hit Padang, so if anyone is interested they can see and read about trip 1 on the Jiwa......now, the Telos are christian islands as are the Mentawais'......we see churches on the shore line as we travel by....the sunrise this am was nice.......all good......so it was stormy, last night while traveling, it was stormy this morning when we stopped.....a couple guests went for a surf, it was onshore and stormy, then the wind went cross-onshore, then side-shore, then cross-offshore, then straight offshore, during this process I sorted photos, wrote, read, and then I had some lunch of tom yum soup, and went for a paddle with Wyzzo(pictured below)..........he got 3 or so waves and went in....then Mr Gram(pictured below)............came out....so it was me and gram for awhile......Gram said he was going in so I said I will too(I had about 15 waves at this point).......then Mr Bill(pictured below)................came out and joined us, and after another 30 or 40 minutes Gram said I am going in, so I said me too.....we signaled for the boat to pick us up(maybe I failed to mention, we get drivin out to and picked up from the line-up by the dingy(there are 2 dingy's on the jiwa.....one we tow behind us, and the other a rubber-ducky that is the "photo" dingy that gets hoisted up in the back when we travel).....so Mr Bill called me over and I thought he wanted to ride the mal, but he just wanted some company so I stayed out for a few more waves.....I was on wave 27 when I heard a whistle, and the dingy headed our way so it was time to set-sail.....so I thought I would not surf today as it was windy, stormy.......I ended up having my longest surf of the trip so far, it was 3', glassy and good fun at Village Rights .........todays photo is a set at Bawa........below..............is the boss kicking up some spray.........below.............this is how it looks while waiting for a set.........below.............is Rory on what looks like the inside bowl at Sunset, and not deep in the Telos.....and finally, more smiles, from the hindus of the day......
